After Rain Captures Raw Nostalgia in Moonlit Ballade
A gorgeous contemporary classical piece inspired by quiet nights and timeless melodies.

Guatemalan composer Ricardo Avila, working under the moniker After Rain, has poured pure emotion into his latest track, 'Moonlit Ballade'. Written in D♭ major, the piece stems from teenage memories of laying outside for hours, staring at the moon with Debussy playing in the background. Avila brought this bittersweet memory to life at a gentle 80 BPM using just his tablet, FL Studio Mobile, and a MIDI controller gifted by a close friend. The result is a deeply moving instrumental story that feels less like a performance and more like a quiet note of gratitude to the music that shaped him.
