As We Sleep Capture the Haunting Quiet of Midnight on Striking New Single 'Rest'
A moody, driving blend of dark alternative rock, electronic textures, and pure late-night atmosphere.

Egyptian musical project As We Sleep specializes in writing songs for the hours when the rest of the world is completely checked out. Founded by Nourhan Fayed and Mohamed Rajab, the duo captures that eerie, beautiful liminal space of dim bedrooms, neon city lights, and racing thoughts.
Their latest track, 'Rest', is a heavy, 140 BPM alternative rocker that pulls off a really cool trick, blending atmospheric guitar lines with a subtle, driving drum and bass rhythm. Recorded right in their home studio, the song features incredibly crisp bass work from Khaled Rajab and a massive drum performance by Ahmed Riad. Fayed's airy vocals float over the top, singing about tossing, turning, and letting pent-up feelings finally take shape. It is a beautifully dark, intense track that sounds like a brief moment of stillness in the middle of a storm.
