gon pulvo Tracks Raw Classic House on 'baby bumpin''
Rough Ableton stems get chopped and sequenced inside the Dirtywave M8, locking dusty sampling into a hypnotic deep house groove.

Stephon X. Jones puts aside his usual harsh textures and noisy beat experiments to build a straight-up deep house cut under the gon pulvo moniker. Working with collaborator w_rk, who bounced rough audio snippets out of Ableton, Jones reconstructed the whole track inside the handheld Dirtywave M8 tracker. The limitations of the tracker keep things focused, turning simple chopped loops into a rolling rhythm that relies on subtle timing rather than modern DAW polish.
The track skips big synth builds and commercial EDM drops completely, locking into a low-slung four-on-the-floor pulse and warm sub bass. Running everything through the M8 gives the drum transients a clipped, gritty punch reminiscent of mid-90s underground club tracks. It feels unforced and hypnotic, made for late hours on a dark floor.
