Gud kIdd Drops Moody Late-Night Jam 'Self Destructive'

Accra's own Gud kIdd is shifting gears with his latest release, 'Self Destructive'. While previous projects like Jet Pack Of Love showcased a broad mix of trap, R&B, and energetic afrobeat, this brand-new drop slows things down to explore a deeply personal side of afrosoul and hip hop.

Inspired by the smooth, melodic chemistry of artists like Swae Lee and Jhene Aiko, Gud kIdd built this track directly from his bedroom studio. Using a classic Cubase and Fruity Loops setup, he perfectly captures the isolated, reflective atmosphere of a long drive home after dark. The production steps up with crisp vocal tracking, a clean Tube-Tech and FabFilter mix, and a wash of vintage reverb that sets a heavy, late-night mood.

Lyrically, the track doesn't hold back on the vulnerability of feeling abandoned, anchored by honest lines like, 'feeling self destructive, but you never notice, did you know the gun was loaded'. But what really ties the whole package together is a striking guitar solo that cuts right through the melancholy, highlighting Gud kIdd's sharp instincts as both a writer and a producer.
