On 'Don't Worry Darling', Dutch queer indie artist Hovenberg delivers an uplifting 100 BPM summer pop track written as a love letter to his husband, Tim. Blending acoustic Spanish guitar with soft electronic textures inside his DAW, the song moves with a light, comforting energy. Hovenberg uses modern digital workflows and layered multitracks to build a full soundscape, weaving English and Spanish lyrics to offer reassurance during times of insecurity.
Inspired by classic 90s pop energy, the song focuses entirely on devotion, safety, and showing up for the people we love when life gets heavy. Serving as the lead single from his upcoming Solmendria EP, 'Don't Worry Darling' turns a personal promise of partnership into an inviting pop track designed to make listeners feel supported.
