LOC DAWGS - Cycles

Santa Barbara alt-rock band LOC DAWGS just pulled the pin on 'Cycles', a massive, riff-heavy track that deals with the exhausting loop of a toxic relationship. To really capture that gritty 90s aesthetic, the guys locked themselves inside the legendary Studio 606 - the Foo Fighters' private facility, bringing in a massive wall of classic guitar amps and a vintage 70s Ludwig drum kit to anchor the low end.

The track is loud, dark, and thick, wearing its classic grunge influences entirely on its sleeve. Lyrically, it dives right into total isolation and obsession, using lines like 'And I know why I can't escape these cycles that unfold' to build up a claustrophobic, anxious tension across the verses.

Everything finally boils over at the very end of the final chorus, hitting a massive, euphoric moment of emotional release where the instrumentation just completely explodes. If you are regularly spinning records by Soundgarden, Helmet, or Alice in Chains, this track belongs right at the top of your rotation.
