NAZARIAH Drops 'Slow Motion', a Moody Dreampop Single

An Emotional World in Isolation

Writing under the name NAZARIAH, Zariah Rippel builds quiet, atmospheric tracks that draw from influences like Cigarettes After Sex, Lana Del Rey, and Purity Ring. On 'Slow Motion', she digs into romantic longing through a lens of bittersweet nostalgia. Written with the imagery of singing to an empty auditorium after a prom, the song pairs simple, honest vocal work with lyricism about love, memory, and personal space.

Living Room Production

Produced in her apartment with an Akai MPC One, the track centers around an acoustic guitar progression rounded out by light percussion, bass, subtle organ, and synth pads. Recorded using a Rode NT1A mic, the vocals sit front and center without feeling overproduced. It gives the song a clean, grounded feel that lets the mood take over naturally.
