Nique Star Runs Right Back into the Fire on 'SHE'S STILL BREAKING HEARTS'
Scuffed-up guitar loops, snapping drums, and toxic attraction from the Akron-connected underground.

Elijah Bryant cobbled 'SHE'S STILL BREAKING HEARTS' together in Logic Pro, stitching choppy guitar loops into punchy drum tracks to get his upcoming project, Sometimes the Stars Don't Shine, rolling. Picking up the thread from his older cut 'The Girl Who Breaks Hearts', it is all about that bad habit of walking straight into someone you already know is going to wreck your week.
He skips standard glossy pop polish, letting his voice ride a dark, loose pocket between alternative rap flows and jagged indie melodies. The stacked vocal layers on the hook sound frantic and claustrophobic, like having an argument with yourself in the rearview mirror while pulling up to a bad decision anyway.
