Following a chaotic legal dispute with TV creator Ryan Murphy, UK outfit NOT mike from glee returns with 'Waiting Outside', the lead single from their upcoming third album. Produced entirely within a moldy flat, the track perfectly captures the relatable pre-party frenzy of ordering an Uber while your friends are completely unready to leave. Structurally inventive, the song starts as a late-night hip-hop groove before flipping into a disco-infused powerhouse midway through, complete with live bass and electric guitar laid down by their flatmate from The Trusted. A brilliant, original 90s M1 house piano line rounds out the production, keeping the energy sharp and relentless.
