Sperans Aeterna Blends Retro Synthwave and Classic Metal on 'All Systems Go'

Under the moniker Sperans Aeterna, artist Alex Coyne brings a fresh, hybrid sound to the table with his debut instrumental, 'All Systems Go'. Growing up on classic heavy metal and harboring a deep love for vintage 80s synths, Coyne weaves these two worlds together. The song plays out like a cinematic opener, taking inspiration from the sci-fi intro of The Alan Parsons Project's 'Sirius' and the famous mid-song drum build of Phil Collins' 'In the Air Tonight'.

Recorded in Reaper using a few virtual synthesizers and a Schecter C-1 Classic guitar, the track moves from a spacey, tension-filled atmosphere into a full-on rock groove. The transition is smooth and organic, highlighted by a subtle synth 'voice' in the second half that blends right into the final guitar solo. It is an adventurous, nostalgic piece of music that completely bypasses rigid genre lines.
