Midwest group TaQsem & Candy JAMZ just rolled out their first-ever single, 'Humid', and it is an absolute jam. Tracked live at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, with home-studio guitar overdubs layered on top, the song completely channels the sticky, heavy heat of a classic midwestern summer afternoon. The band members pull from completely different musical backgrounds, seamlessly locking reggae foundations together with Latin rhythms, jazz chords, and hip-hop cadences. It feels raw, loose, and highly energetic, perfectly hitting the exact atmosphere of a packed, carefree pool party on a scorching day.
