Tony Martens Delivers Raw Late-Night Melancholy on Moody New Single 'Bottled Up'
A stripped-back indie track born in the quiet hours of the night, carrying a heavy Western vibe.

Sometimes the best tracks come from completely unplanned moments. German singer-songwriter Tony Martens was actually preparing a totally different release when a bad cold left him unable to hit his usual high notes. Sitting up late at night while everyone else was asleep, he leaned into that heavy, quiet headspace and wrote 'Bottled Up' instead.
Built on a simple arrangement using his acoustic guitar, a Fender Strat, and a basic bass setup, the track deals with the weight of family expectations and finding your own path. Halfway through tracking, Martens modified his guitar setup on the fly to play with a slide, leading to a hauntingly beautiful instrumental finish. It is a slow-burning, cinematic piece of indie-alternative music that sounds exactly like staring out a window into the rain while your mind wanders.
