Bridging the Gap Between Music and Horror: zayveeun Drops Break Your Heart In Three

UK artist zayveeun has officially shared his latest track, 'Break Your Heart In Three', an unsettling sonic experiment that pushes lo-fi music into dark, cinematic horror territory. For producer Xavien Brunning-Roberts, getting to this point required a complete overhaul of his creative process. After years of fighting severe creative blocks, foggy thoughts, and the draining routine of a day job that left him feeling mentally suffocated, he turned to Julia Cameron's 'The Artist's Way'. Committing to writing three pages every morning for twelve weeks straight, he gradually broke through the static, eventually quitting his job to protect his creative freedom and dive headfirst into music production.

Originally, 'Break Your Heart In Three' sounded entirely different and was not meant to have a horror theme at all. While tweaking the composition in FL Studio, Brunning-Roberts felt stuck and close to throwing in the towel. The breakthrough came when he made the unconventional decision to bump up the tempo slightly and strip away large sections of his written lyrics. This structural shift completely changed the direction of the song, opening the door for an eerie atmosphere designed to bridge the gap between music and the psychological weight of classic horror media. Heavily inspired by the storytelling philosophies of legendary game creator Hideo Kojima, the artist aims to create music that leaves a lasting emotional impact in the real world.

To complement the track's tense, unusual vibe, zayveeun even went as far as learning 3D art design in Blender from scratch to build a completely custom visual world for the accompanying music video. The production showcases an artist actively playing with different vocal styles, leading up to a haunting, carefully layered chorus arrangement in the outro that stands as the track's most rewarding moment.
